They describe their food as ‘reimagined not reinvented’ and it’s served in the most Instagramable setting imaginable! Just opposite, Toro’s Steakhouse is also new to the town centre as well as nearby Istanbul. And, of course, there’s the ever-popular Heavenly Desserts close by too.

CDJ’s Restaurant

Darwen’s not short of fabulous places to eat (or drink either!) – from a good old curry, to mouth-watering Mediterranean and pretty much everything in-between. A go-to place has to be CDJ’s with Chef Dan Jolley having worked in some of the finest Michelin starred restaurants in the world. A local lad, he opened this brand new eatery just 12 months ago and it’s a favourite with foodies!

Whether it’s the charming coffee house, roastery and shop in Blackburn’s historical Fleming Square (just a stone’s throw away from Blackburn Cathedral) or their stall on Blackburn’s busy market, if its quality coffee you’re looking for, Exchange Coffee should be at the top of your Christmas list! Deli Carlo

Perfect for a light bite, this popular Italian delicatessen in Darwen’s Market Square is well known for its mulled wine, crafted coffees and moreish sandwiches. Their dishes are made using carefully sourced ingredients, many of which are imported directly from Italian suppliers. Plus, they’re Christmas hampers are always popular. Visit them for a warm ‘ben venuti e buon appetite’.
