From the 10th to the 26th of August, visitors of all ages are invited to explore the captivating trail featuring life-size LEGO® models across 17 business locations throughout the town.
This event promises a blend of creativity, fun, and discovery, making it a must-visit during the summer holidays.
The event is run by the newly launched Discover Blackburn in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackburn BID and Fairy Bricks – a remarkable charity known for donating LEGO® sets to children’s hospices and hospitals.
Each of the 17 locations on the trail has a model depicting an iconic character or event from Lewis Carroll’s story in brick-built glory, from Alice herself to the villainous Queen of Hearts.
Each one is located in a business in Blackburn town centre.
Participants can also engage in a quiz related to each model, with the chance to win fantastic prizes, including:
- £150 Worth of High Street Vouchers: Perfect for adding to your own LEGO® collection or starting a new one
- Custom Mini Mad Hatter LEGO® Model: An one of a kind, model designed exclusively for this trail
The Custom Mini Mad Hatter is 30cm tall, uses 14 different colours of brick and took 25 hours to design and build using 865 bricks! The model is built using a lot of SNOT (Studs Not On Top) LEGO techniques to provide a lot of the detailing and texture.
To enter the competition, simply pick up a leaflet, complete the quiz by visiting each location, and submit your answers at The Mall Blackburn ‘Ask Me’ Point.
But that’s not all! As a bonus, participants can join our letter trail. Find the correct words hidden in the trail to be in with a chance of winning the Custom Mini Mad Hatter LEGO® model, built specially for this event by a LEGO® whizz.
